(from Google)Good introduction to the distinct alpine environment of Little Cottonwood. Shaded, not too steep, easy turnaround at any point. The trail is multi-use and quite popular among hikers, bikers, and trail runners, bring your trail etiquette and share the path! I like to try to use this trail on weekdays to avoid heavy crowds but I’ve never had it all to myself. If you’re looking for something more secluded you’ll want to branch out from this one.
Interesting place to visit, needs more parking (it was full when I got there), lots of people taking family pics, but it was beautiful. Wish the picture boards were more readable. There is a dirt trail you can walk up ti a waterfall, I believe. I disnt walj ut because it was getring dark. Will go again
I love this trail awesome for hikes and bikes. Thee is a little part closer to the top that as a big stream running through the middle of the trail the we had to ride our bikes through and it's a tuff rocky climb for bikes would recommend hiking but biking is still a blast if your more experienced.
Kind of busy with the mountain bikers, NO DOGS, all up then all down out and back. Parking only at the bottom of the canyon. Needs some maintainance on the trail.
Fantastic hike. Beautiful views. Hike is mostly covered. Family friendly hike as it is not terribly difficult. Great for mountain biking. This is a beautiful little gem that I did not know existed after living here since 2003. I am glad I found it. I highly recommend.
