(from Google)I was looking for a fishing spot and found this one though there were no fish
Cookie cutter copy of several other parks in the area. Has a weird modern art piece with no purpose, 2 swings, a slide covered in graffiti and looks like it could fit in on a prison block (square and grey). The steps (ladder) to the slide decrease in size as you get to the top Best part of the playground is a tarp and bungee bridge that looks like a child is going to fall through. The city need to revamp this park and needs to look at thale Newport News, VA to VA Beach areas for inspiration. From Fort Fun to Pearl by the Bay Park, VA has great parks.
Plenty of parking! If you park a car here and go walking, you don't have to judge how far to go before turning around, because you will just go in a circle anyway, and right back to your car. I think it is about 100 yards to go all the way around the pond. Peaceful environment. 😁
We simply love how peaceful this place is. Son loves the swing and slide , Mom loves ducks n lake and green wide areas and dad loves this small stadium where he can play volleyball.
What a beautiful park! It would be perfect if there weren't heaps of trash everywhere. There is an array of fish, waterfowl, reptiles, song birds, and dragonflies and bees! It has a playground, a couple grills, and several picnic areas.
