(from Google)We recently took part in the Warmouth’s offering of “bottomless lowcountry boil” as part of the Uptown Columbia “Spring Fling” event. The food was seasoned well, just the way a lowcountry boil should taste…large fresh shrimp, great sausage and the traditional potatoes and corn as well. We refilled our trays MANY times and left STUFFED in this best way! We paired with some local beer on draft and wine for me and it made for a perfect afternoon on their back patio.
The War Mouth has been one of our favorite neighborhood spots for the past 6 years. The food and service are always consistent, and the drinks are absolutely delightful. It’s such a family-friendly place with a welcoming atmosphere every time we visit. The outdoor area is especially perfect during the fall and spring - easily one of the best spots in Columbia to relax and enjoy a meal any night. Definitely a local gem we keep coming back to.
Local hideaway with excellent food. Good tap beer selection. Highly recommend the cornbread appetizer which comes on a special wooden paddle. Large portion sizes and very tasty food. Had no trouble getting a table on a Saturday night – they don’t take reservations. Food preparation was a little slow, but our server was very attentive. Not too loud to talk even when full – easy to have a conversation. They also have a patio out back.
We stop here every time we pass through Columbia. We love the service, atmosphere and the food and drinks! You can order the ribs by themselves, though they aren't listed by themselves. I recommend trying everything! Nothing is the best I've ever had, but it's all reliably delicious!
I was really disappointed with the food here unfortunately. The menu seems really promising with all the local options, but the chicken wings I had were overcooked and the chicken bog was under seasoned. Huge bummer! The deviled eggs were good though. The waitress was really nice and helped guide me through the menu, also the other patrons were good company. Bummer about the food.
