(from Google)Nice place for walking. Hunting area so be sure to follow signs and posted dates. Some pretty wildlife, have seen Hawks, eagles and deer here. If you use the forks of river parking area you do not have to pay the ijams parking fee. Road is gravel but can do in low clearance car if careful
So wonderful! Got lost in the trails, some of which were overgrown. Don't follow google maps, which isn't up to date. Lovely spot though! Would love to visit when the sunflowers are in bloom.
A very well maintained area located minutes from downtown Knoxville. Great for dove and waterfowl hunting, it also has a gorgeous sunflower field as well as a paved walking track winding through the area. Benches are located along the path to take breaks or to sit and just admire the scenery. A great way to spend some time and get some exercise that doesn't have to cost anything. And of course dogs are welcome though they do need to be leashed.
Nice paved trail with some river views. It's a must see when the sunflower fields are in bloom! Trails are dog friendly (on leash).
Great place to walk/run, trail is paved and relatively flat. There is a an extended trail at the end of the paved one or you can make it a loop and turn off on the gravel… that can go back to the parking lot… it’s where the sunflowers and silo are. Dog and bike friendly. Sunflowers every other year. No bathrooms, but there are public restrooms down the road at ijams. Recommend bug spray.
