Highland Park Pet Hospital

I cannot begin to express how AMAZING this place is. From doctor to vet techs to office staff, they have been nothing short of amazing for our two fur babies. We have a high needs rescue dog with LOTS of trauma. We needed a team that was willing to go slow with him, support him with the correct medications and procedures, and Highland came though. They are so good with him, and so understanding of his needs. They are gentle, calm, and professional. They also were always transparent on prices and let us know ahead of time the cost of care. My wife and I had to move away for work, and we are so sad to be leaving this vet clinic. We will miss them so much!

I needed a vet closer to my house and looked into several practices in the Sugar House area. I picked Highland Park Pet Hospital based on location, prices, and reviews. I just got back after my first appointment and couldn’t be happier with the service and care. Turns out my Goldie is a tad overweight and Dr. Bayliff researched the brands I was feeding my dog and put together a diet plan to see if we can get him down to his dating weight. :) I look forward to many healthy years under the care of Highland Park Pet Hospital.

I thought I finally found a compassionate caring honest vet however quite the opposite. Yes they have a cat only exam room which is cute. Syryn ( works front desk who is awesome) & Sariah ( vet tech who is dialed into each fur baby & has a heart of gold) kept me going there. Talon is the doctors assistant who is also great. HOWEVER .....I was going to get charged $63.14 for eye ointment that I never in 14 yrs paid more than $24!. I found it online for $5 plus shipping...3 tubes of the EXACT eye ointment plus shipping was only $22 total! I was informed they couldn't stand behind that ointment because it was made by Pfizer ! Well their brand was made by Zoetis which is now the animal section of Pfizer!!! Pfizer started 175 yrs ago & Zoetis branched off Pfizer 70 yrs ago!!! I also was charged an extra $35 for my kitties monthly Solensia injection because they are a quote "hospital"! Yet after my kitty had been getting injections MONTHLY for at least a year ...I was informed they could NOT do my kitties Solensia shot the next month until I spent another $75 for a wellness exam!!! So if course we did & they DID NOT even take my kitties temperature during his wellness exam!!! And once we weren't sure if he had a clot...praise the Lord he didn't but I was also told if he did I needed to take him to some other vet because they were too scheduled out to see him...despite they are suppose to be a hospital not a clinic. The staff live dressing up for Halloween but that doesn't impress me bc it's all about them not the pets. They will NEVER be as cute as all other real fur babies. They had a contest and my kitty won 1st but gave it to a different pet & we got 2nd. No big deal but we knew. They were able to do one of my kitties anals extraction with just using gabapentin where other vets said they needed to put him under anesthesia. So that was impressive. After buying Cerrnia pills many many many times for my one kitty at an exorbatent price $$$$ the vet finally sent a script to Sam's club which saved over 50% however they despise faxing scripts to other places. I use compounding animal pharmacies at times & it was always a struggle to have them use it. I stated the great qualities and the awful qualities and all were genuine circumstances. You choose for your fur baby ....be careful & selective.

I can't recommend Highland Park Pet Hospital highly enough. The staff are personable and attentive and Dr. Brandi Bayliff is absolutely amazing. We first started coming here when our senior cat became ill. Dr. Bayliff was so kind, compassionate, yet honest about the situation. My husband and I were thoroughly impressed by our experience during a difficult time. We now take our two kittens here and they continue to make each interaction a positive one.

Brought my cat here for the first time for her vaccines and just a check up and I am so glad that I chose this vet! I have never had an urge to write a review for my previous vet hospitals, but my experience here was so wonderful that I wanted to immediately! First off, making an appointment was really easy. I filled out some information online and they called me within a few days. I filled out a few forms and answered some questions prior to the appointment. They do acupuncture and regular medical practices that are more traditional, so it caters to both methods. I loved that the vaccine was in the room with me. I have never had that before and it always makes me nervous when they take my baby out of the room. They did not force her to do anything and they emphasize that that’s not how they do it, they want the animal to feel really comfortable and even if it takes a little longer to get the vaccine done, they prioritized my cats feelings! She was due for a vaccine and they also gladly gave her a nail trim that I requested. She is a young senior Cat so they recommended a lab work and they explained what that would be what it would cost and there were two options a more expensive and extensive one or a more affordable option. And I loved how transparent they were and how they gave me the choice and just made me a very aware of what my bill was going to be. I chose the more expensive one which was $270. And I do not regret it. I rather know my pet is OK. They followed up the next day just seeing how she is after the vaccine and then with my results. The staff is seriously the nicest people I’ve ever met and you can tell, they love their job. I highly recommend this pet hospital!!!
