(from Google)This place has a few hidden gems Fields and hiking trail in the woods
Nice simple serene trail on 30 acres of land. Great place to stroll and unwind.
This is basically Uplands Farm lite. The wooded trail was a little too grassy for me to explore so I was worried about ticks and will save that for a future walk. The fields are nice, it smells beautiful and there were lots of raptors and song birds around, as well as a great deal of butterflies. It was quiet and serene. I’ll definitely come back. Took about 30 minutes to walk the trails around the fields.
Small and simple, but very nice area to take a walk in. Also has some of the last boreal pines left on L.I. Very quiet as doesn't seem like anyone knows about it - which I selfishly like, lol. Another vitally important protected piece of our ever dwindling land & historic places.
A nice little protected area that is worth your time. The main part is a mowed path in a natural growing field. The northwest part of the preserve according to the map is in the woods and your should watch out for ticks.
