General Bragg Trailhead

Easy parking and paved trails makes for an easy walking excursion. Runs along the water for a more interesting view along the way. Plenty of parking and easy access.

Very nice place for nature lovers.you can find 4 trails to walk as per your strength.I found there different species of birds.As it is not so busy you can find parking. Neat and clean restrooms. There are picnic table and seats to enjoy the nature’s beauty. The river is flowing along the trail.

7/15/2025 stopped in the park to see what it had to offer. There is a dog park area that has two fenced in play areas for smaller and larger dogs and also a fenced in agility area. There is also a brand new placescape next to the bathroom facilities. Plenty of parking available and walking and biking paved trails that lead to the Bragg trailhead. You can also check out the General Bragg monument of cannonballs in the park.

As one of the major entry points to the Greenway, the General Bragg entrance offers a wide range of amenities to accommodate many visitors all at once. To begin, parking is plentiful and easily accessible from the main road. Once parked, a large pavillion is present to not only provide shade but also four large picnic tables that can easily seat forty for those bringing food. On that note, outdoor grills are also present for public use with trash cans nearby. If young children are present, the area also features a playground with two benches close by to monitor their play. Lastly, public restrooms are also present. Down a series of steps, the Greenway walking path is a short distance away. Across the other side of the parking lot, a walking path which leads to a monument built of cannonballs relates to General Bragg is present.

It was so nice and peaceful. I mean, you can hear cars from the nearby streets and people passing you on bicycles as such, but even louder was the nature. Crickets and birds chirping and other insects and animals doing their own thing(lol)... It was just all really nice. The water was so pretty and I even got to learn about a new fruit called an osage orange. That's in a pic I shared. We're still a little new to Tennessee and I'm looking forward to exploring and discoving new things in this wonderful state we now call home.
