This nature reserve is a bit of a hassle to access directly from Highway 2 in Ponce. If you want to spend some time in nature, it's a great place. There's no entrance fee, but you must respect the natural resources. There's a mangrove reforestation project underway, so please be careful not to damage or crush the mangroves with your car or any other means of transportation. There are no public or private restrooms, and if you bring food, please take your trash with you; there are no trash cans.
There is a trail. Must get to from north bound on ramp. Not safe without a 4*4. Not truly accessible for most people.
Admission is free. It's open from 6 am to 6 pm every day of the week, as residents of Ponce live at the far end of the reserve. A great place to visit for hiking, taking photos, and enjoying nature.
