Zack's Pack Dog Training

We just completed Zack’s board-and-train program for our 5-year-old Goldendoodle, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. It’s hard to fully express how impressed we are with Zack’s process, professionalism, dedication, and clear expertise. Before training, our dog was extremely excitable around people and other dogs—often barking loudly, jumping, and completely ignoring our commands. After five years, we weren’t sure those habits could be changed, but Zack has truly worked wonders. The difference is remarkable. From the start, Zack took the time to come to our home twice to evaluate our dog, explain his approach, and patiently answer all of our questions. That gave us a great level of comfort before the program even began. Once training started, Zack set up a shared photo gallery and provided daily updates with instructional videos and pictures. This allowed us to learn alongside our dog, which made a huge difference. We also had a couple of meet-ups during the program, so we could begin practicing before bringing our pup home. We have our first follow-up session later this week and are looking forward to Zack’s feedback and any adjustments we can make to continue building on this progress. Before working with Zack, our 7-month-old puppy, Rookie, was so hyper he honestly felt almost unmanageable. As newlyweds, we really wanted to start this season with a well-trained dog - and Zack completely delivered. Rookie now walks off leash, listens (!!), and is so enjoyable to take places. The jumping, biting, running off, and leash pulling are gone. I get compliments all the time on how well trained our dog is, and simply put, I just feel like we can actually ENJOY him so much more. I was hesitant about sending our fur baby away for three weeks, but it was 100% worth it. The daily updates were amazing, and Rookie loved Zack and his pup, Maverick. This wasn’t just training — it feels like a decade long investment :)

These words may not encapsulate everything Zack has done for our family, but we will try. Simply put, Zack has truly changed our lives. We have two three-year-old Australian shepherds, both full of energy. One of them has had reactivity issues from the start which has turned into unnecessary aggression. For anyone who has had a pup like that, you know that you can never be fully relaxed or trusting around them. This was our reality and a very scary one. That is, until we met Zack. From the initial conversation, Zack was realistic with what our expectations should be in the program and with our pup. He spent a substantial amount of time explaining what may be going on with our pup internally and genetically to explain his behavior, and how to fix it. We have done years of extensive training and all of which have had benefits temporarily, but nothing to curb this aggression and reactivity. That is, until we worked with Zack. After phone calls and several meetings with Zack, we knew it would be a great fit. His board and train program was the best investment ever. We sent our pup off to Zack for about a month and though we knew we would miss our pup immensely, we met up regularly and Zack showed us what he had learned so far. We had met a brand-new dog that we never imagined possible. No longer does our pup lurch, growl, bark, snarl, or nip at people, bikes, strollers, skateboards, delivery trucks, cars, other dogs, etc. This has made our lives completely change, for the better. Our dog has been developing a bond with relatives he used to hate, avoid, and growl at. In fact, he now listens and is obedient to these relatives, forming a beautiful and strong bond. Our pup can now even walk obediently OFF LEASH, something we never thought possible and has learned a bunch of new commands! This has allowed for such a sense of relief, happiness, and peace in our home. Zack has been the most professional, caring, helpful, and knowledgeable individual throughout this process. His customer service goes above and beyond, with strong communication, and sending us updates and videos daily to show us what our pup had learned, the fun he was having, and the places he was going. Our whole household now has the tools and confidence that Zack taught us to work with our pup. We would recommend Zack and his program to anyone and everyone and would give him ten stars if we were able to. His caring and compassionate connection to dogs is unlike other trainers we have seen in the past. We feel indebted to him for his diligence, care, guidance, and the amount of time he has put into our dog and family. Thank you, Zack, from the bottom of our hearts from all of us.

I can’t say enough about Zack. He is excellent! Prior to Zack we tried multiple trainers, as well as a pet psychologist. Zack was the only one we saw any results with. Our dog was aggressive towards strangers coming into our home, and nervous when meeting other dogs. Zack’s approach was to reward for appropriate behavior, and correct inappropriate behavior. We have a completely different dog, who is no longer on medication. Our dog is eager to meet and play with other dogs now. When strangers come into our home our dog has been trained to settle and greet them after he has calmed down. Zack trained us as well as our pup. We are forever grateful!
