(from Google)Office reeked of cat urine DVM and staff were not friendly. Have not been in years and glad I found better
Let me start off by saying initially, I thought this place was great. Devon was friendly, easy to talk to and assured me that they were fair, honest and provided every service My animals would possibly need. Dr. Martin was informative when it came to my senior English bulldog, as she has a senior dog herself with spinal and hip issues however, two of my three dogs had kennel, cough and was the reason for my visit. This entire staff wrote my babies off and kept ensuring they were going to be OK. They gave each an antibiotic as well as a cough suppressant for treatment on the first visit. I later found out by another vet, the antibiotics weren’t strong enough for the issue and the cough shouldn’t have been suppressed, it should have been an expectorant. A week later when my pitbull was digressing, I called in a panic demanding that they see her again. I told them I could hear pneumonia and I was told Dr. Martin was too busy and they were unavailable. Instead of taking excuse, we sat in the parking lot and waited until they would see us. After the second examination, they assured that she was fine and the process takes upwards of a few weeks to remedy. They seemed very annoyed that we brought her back. They explained that the symptoms that she was experiencing were normal and conducive to kennel cough, to keep moving her around and continue with the prescribed medications. No one called to check on her, even though Priscilla, the receptionist told me there was a note to do so. As a result a few days after the second visit, she continued to digress and stopped eating. My husband brought her in for the third visit. At that point they explained that she had severe bacterial pneumonia and they could not help her. Her lungs were 60 percent gone by that point. They advised that we take her to an emergency hospital where she died as a result of their negligence. She was too far gone by that point. I would never bring an animal to this facility other than a routine check up. This is another money grab facility that sees your animals as dollar signs rather than family members that you love. They were heartless, understaffed, and dismissive in my cries that she had pneumonia. The doctor kept telling me her airways were clear and she didn’t hear anything obstructing when she put her scope on her chest. I lost my five year-old healthy Pitbull to this facilities negligence and almost lost the bulldog in the same manner for the same reason as she was also not on proper treatment. They should not call themselves a hospital or full service. Do yourself a favor and stay away. No one has even bothered to call to see how things unfolded after we spent almost $4,000 just at this facility to ultimately lose my girl
Dr. Martin and her staff are awesome. I would not take my best friend Shadow anywhere else. Dr. Martin has been taking great care of Shadow since she was a puppy.
The staff and Dr Martin are always friendly and very accommodating. It's great to see that extra customer service and care that is always shown to me and Oakley every time we come in.
My dog has actually not seen Dr. Martin yet but however, I’m very impressed so far with the staff, (Devon especially ). My every day vet has recommended that my dog get an x-ray of the hind leg area due to some limping that’s been going on periodically their x-ray machine is down so they recommended Lone star animal Hospital and said really good things that they have been known to quickly get animals in on a timely manner. And they were correct. I called on a Saturday. They requested some medical records from my pet I sent them in via email and within 2 1/2 I received a callback, scheduling an x-ray for the following Tuesday. I was very impressed by that I had a few questions. Called back the following day never was placed on hold The questions were answered promptly so far I’m very impressed. I will update us after his appointment tomorrow. I was really impressed on how they were willing to work with me. They excepted the medical records in my every day normal vets recommendations and are taking over with doing the x-ray. I’m very grateful that they are doing this so there’s no delay in medical care.
