(from Google)Calming walk with the gray sky and trickling water. I do remember in the 80s the swinging bridge. Sadly it has been replaced. Still a great place to enjoy nature.
First time I understood (after 5 years in Fredericksburg) that there's a riverside trail in this park, not just a playground and access to the VCR trail. Very picturesque!
We absolutely LOVE Alum Springs Park! We come here all the time! I love every season here! Every season brings its own unique beauties! We have our special needs son with us today so we got to enjoy the VCR trail as it is paved. This is a beautiful park and walking trail!
Beautiful Park. Shallow water for kids to enjoy. Huge playground. Several trails to enjoy a walk with family. We arrived late afternoon and it was not crowded. Bug spray is highly recommended.
We were visiting and it was 99 degrees. I was thankful to find this when I searched for playgrounds with water! This park was great if you are ever in this area. There are bathrooms, a shaded parking lot, a shaded playground and the creek is fantastic! There was a part in the creek deep enough that my kids couldn’t touch, and most of it is shallow for littles to play. Perfect for a hot day!
