Terry Hershey Hike Trail

This trail is great if you don't mind the constant overwhelming smell of raw sewage

Pleasant. Nice people, families, and individuals of all ages come for exercise. Some areas are scenic and ideal for wedding photos as some couples have been out there having photos made on two different occasions in the past few weeks. Trails go under the roadways along the bayou. The water flowing over huge rock formations with an occasional egret stretching its long white neck and other birds are beautiful to see.

And the bluebonnets are starting to come in! The last couple of years it's been very nice. With the latest warm up they seem to feel it's time to blossom. It's fun to see families bringing the little ones to snap some photos with bluebonnets without having to drive far. Not quite a great spread yet, but I'm sure in another week or two it will be great. Update: March11 bluebonnets are taking over! :) I even added a location on Google maps to identify where it's happening. Update March 23: blooming still going on, some areas just starting so we should have bluebonnets around for a while. Added a photo from this morning

Had a nice walk. Hoping to see some blue bonnets but we weren't sure about the exact spot nor if they were blooming right now, so we'll try again soon.

It’s a nice place for hiking 🥾 although the path is not always clean, it’s good enough to enjoy a bit of nature in Houston!! A lot of shades and nice walking although the weather is hot. If you walk along the river you may smell the water 💧 You can do hiking or biking 🚴‍♀️ you can do good exercise right there! If you go a paved road, you can do longboarding as well! Come and enjoy 😉 Cheers
