Aquatic Dog

I have gotten two of my Bettas from Aquatic Dog, my pink dragon Betta was actually pointed out to me on the day it came in from shipment by Aiden - I couldn't leave without them. I bought them knowing the risks of coming straight from shipment. Very happy to say that both of my Bettas from Aquatic Dog are THRIVING and living their very best life - no complications whatsoever. I'm always visiting the store for all of my aquarium needs, or just to see what's new. They CONSTANTLY have new fish to look at and our boy Aiden is always happy to drop some knowledge when we have questions.

An amazing pet store specializing in all types of fish, amphibians with pet food and accessories. It’s like a trip to a small sea world. All the creatures are well managed with wonderful displays and exotic species you won’t find anywhere else. Their staff are kind and patient answering all your questions. A fun place to go for anyone.

I wanted to share my experience so others are aware. The staff was polite, but I was required to sign a waiver stating the store is not responsible for the health of the fish after purchase, which I had never encountered before at a fish store. Unfortunately, two of the fish I purchased died shortly after being added to a tank that had been cycling for two weeks and was testing within normal parameters. After later reading other recent reviews mentioning similar issues and concerns about the waiver, I don’t feel comfortable purchasing fish here again. Edit: it's been 36 hours and all 4 of the male endlers I bought have now passed.

Honestly, aquatic dog is my favorite shop. I am particular with how animals are treated at stores, especially being a vet med student and I don't think I have ever seen a store with so much dedication. Every time I walk in there is at least one water change going on for their aquariums. It's roomy too, which I don't see often with fish shops, and I really favor because at other shops they force you to single file line in certain areas. Aquatic dog also regularly posts on their socials. I love to keep up to date on their stuff especially because they post when they have deals. They also have a lot of knowledge to share about care. Only thing I have a concern about is them selling puppies. Other than that no complaints. I absolutely love their beta selection too. I am obsessed. They have a plethora of things. Plants, aquatic, terrarium, and more. Definitely my go to for when I am looking to get another little animal. Never going to choose a chain pet store for that. Especially for betas. Totally worth an almost hour drive personally. Thankfully it's near my school so I can visit often. I have purchased many things from here like jumping spiders and millipedes and same for my boyfriend and will continue to do so with the care that has been given. Seeing temporary set ups with this much care is not easy to find at least for me. This place is so good that another classmate of mine boasted about it. So yeah, you can expect me and my boyfriend back as regulars😂.

Lifetime customer right here! I cannot say enough amazing things about this business and all of its employees! I have been working on an aquarium for over 4 months in preparation for an axolotl. Not the easiest process, but their knowledge and help was invaluable! Today was finally today! I brought in a sample of water to confirm it was within all parameters, they did quickly and efficiently and confirmed I was in fact ready for a new friend! Of course I wouldn’t go anywhere else for that friend, I spent some time and found the newest member of the family! I didn’t expect much today into the next few days as he acclimated, however that has not been the case! He’s been very active exploring, interacted through the glass with my daughter a bit and ate a good meal! It has been so much fun to watch!
