(from Google)I love the Pueblo Reservoir and I'm Blessed to live like 10 minutes away there's also the Valco ponds as well. Great fishing hiking picnicking or just relaxing there. Lot's of wildlife as well. Awesome asset to our lovely city 🙏🏽👍🏼👌🏼❣️🙂👋🏼
Some great fishing if you know where to go. Nice smallmouth, rainbow, catfish, wipers, bluegill.
There is something for everyone here! Boating, fishing, swimming, tons of little coves and inlets, places to picnic, hike and camp. It can get pretty busy in the summertime with a lot of loud speed boats, so if you're trying to get away from people it might not be your best bet. But in the late summer or during the week it's not too bad.
In 1962, a bill called frying Pan Arkansas Project was passed to build a reservoir for the farmers to water their fields. It is located within the Lake Pueblo State Park. The town of Swallows was flooded to make way for the reservoir. The view walking on the top of the reservoir and looking down at the lake is beautiful. There are many water activities except swimming. There is a special swimming area in the park but no swimming in the reservoir.
Great place to spend time camping and fishing. With multiple species of fish like walleye and trout . Lots of fishing spots that you can drive your car right to shore . Hiking, it's great with great views of your surroundings. Wild life is incredible birds and deer.
