A bit crowded but very nice, caught a big ol carp

Area is great for swimming, the dirt roads are a little rough so make sure you have a good vehicle. There is also other areas around the lake that are great for Paddle boarding and Kayaking too! Make sure to check out Reservoir Brewery after they have great beer and food! May 2021 went to Lake Pueblo Reservoir State Park in Pueblo Colorado

The invite complaint is that there's a VERY rocky section of road to get to the shoreline

Have been there twice, could wade into the water pretty far to fish, but no luck. Went when water seemed a little low...experienced some night fishing and water jumping noises but no luck. Trout and more fish below the damn by the ranger station, only caught a couple. Like cherry creek state park, no fires, but you can fish until the sun comes up, an amazing place to star gaze too, caught the Haley's comet shooting stars. Love going there because of little city light pollution
