(from Google)So many different trails, but my boys and I absolutely LOVED the paved trail to the Lake Jesup Boardwalk! Shade. Wildlife. Benches. Trash bins spaced well so I didn’t have to carry poop bags far 😂 We went on a Friday around 3pm and it was pretty deserted, almost to a scary point, but the people we did see were all friendly. Such an enjoyable hike.
Amazing to walk, run, bike, or just be out in nature. I adore this place and can't wait to go visit again!
Nearly new facilities in excellent condition. The natural area is beautiful and the wildlife abundant. Great walking path for all abilities (completely accessible). Very pleasant experience!
Main path is a bit monotouns. The final part towards the lake and the round circle path we're pretty cool. Saw Turkeys, Lizards and lots of birds. Gators were hiding. ;-)
Absolutely gorgeous park. It's an Old Growth Forest with a Cyprus swamp with tons of large Cyprus trees. Some are so large with huge trunks. They are amazing to sit and gaze at. Nice bike trail. You can certainly walk on it and there are a few non cemented trails to hike on, but the majority of it allows biking so mostly paved. The boardwalk to Jessup Lake has to be a quarter mile long itself. I saw a baby gator, some vultures, even a boar running around. The place feels ancient and magical. the main trail also connects over to Big Tree Park which is still within the bounds of Spring Hammock even though it's on the other side of highway 17. But you can bike or even walk over to it with a nice crossing bridge over the highway. That's where you'll see the remnants of The Senator and the other large and ancient Cyprus named Lady Liberty. Definitely worth the trip over. It's also only a 5 minute drive if you prefer that to walking the length of the park to get to. this park was worth the trip And I look forward to going back and finishing the trails I've missed.
