My kids and I had a blast here. The park was really new looking and fun. Only complaint is that the restrooms near the park weren't open and my son had to use a porta pottie. There was no place for him to wash hands! Springs was really fun.....but the sun is blazing so brings lots of sunscreen! Lots of camp sites for tents and RVs.

Went for a hike out at Lithia Springs and it was surprisingly beautiful. It was 49⁰ out when we started, perfect for hiking! The vast majority of the trail was shady, YAY! The birds were off the chain there, Barred Owl, Red Belly Woodpecker, Hawks, etc. They were very active early in the morning. The Alafia river looked a little bit low, but there were still lots of swimming holes and enough water to paddle through. This was a really great park with lots of picnic areas, a lovely campground with facilities including dump station. The sites were shady and mostly private, some where along the river. The springs area was clear blue water like all Florida springs. I did not see any tees. Lots of people were swimming, but you have to pay two dollars to access it, so I did not take pictures. It looked nice though. The springs flow into the river and you can kayak or paddleboard there as well. There is a separate launch area.

Hidden Gem in Hillsbourgh County. Beautiful well maintained park, campsites are large and clean. Playground is huge and lots of things to do. Springs are beautiful and staff are friendly. If you want to just visit the park for a day it's only $2 a car and well worth it.

Lithia Springs Park is one of those places that reminds you what Florida is truly about. The campground was full, but the springs themselves were calm with just a handful of people. It was a perfect weekday visit. For just a $2 swim fee, I stepped into clear, refreshing water and couldn’t believe the beauty of this place. It felt like a small window into the Florida that has existed here for generations. Walking the grounds and sitting near the water, I found myself imagining how meaningful this spring must have been for the First Peoples who lived in relationship with this land. There is a sense of continuity here — of community, of gathering, of life centered around water. Driving into the area, you also see the contrast — development pressing in and the landscape changing. It makes protected places like this feel even more important. This is sacred ground. The small entry fee felt almost shocking because the experience itself is priceless. You’ll see signs along the roads for Preserve Rural Lithia, and the message resonates. Efforts to protect land, parks, and natural spaces across Florida are vital. What makes this state truly wealthy isn’t development or material growth, but its springs, rivers, wildlife, and the soul of the land itself. Lithia Springs Park is a beautiful reminder of what we still have — and why it’s worth protecting.

Great place for easy hiking. No paved paths so wear comfortable shoes. There are off shoots thar lead to a stream with awesome rock formations. Make sure you follow the signs to stay on path if that's what you wish to do. Sometimes there are areas that branch off and there isn't ant maps located on the path except for the beginning. Staff is great. A day pass is only $2 or you can go through the county for a year pass for $100, it includes lithia springs and other parks as well.
