The Island Grille

We had a wonderful experience while staying in Terra Verde! The food was excellent, the atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the live music made for a great evening. Our waiter was incredibly friendly, attentive, and provided outstanding service throughout our meal. Between the delicious food, great service, and lively atmosphere, this was easily one of our favorite dining experiences during our stay. We would definitely recommend it and look forward to coming back!

Five stars... and one word kept coming to mind throughout the meal: WOW! Our visit to The Island Grille & Raw Bar in Tierra Verde completely exceeded our expectations. From the first appetizer to the last bite, every dish was packed with flavor and prepared with obvious care. The calamari was one of the most unique versions I've ever had. It was crispy, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The texture was much firmer than the squid calamari I'm used to, almost making me wonder if it was made from another type of seafood. Whatever it was, it was absolutely delicious. If it isn't traditional squid calamari, I'd love to see it identified on the menu because it stands on its own as a fantastic appetizer. The Bang Bang Shrimp delivered just the right amount of crunch and creamy heat, making it impossible to stop reaching for one more. The entrées were just as impressive. The ribs were smoky, fall-off-the-bone tender, and coated with a rich, flavorful barbecue sauce. The Cajun pasta was creamy, hearty, and loaded with bold seasoning, while the grouper nugget salad was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully balanced with sweet berries, blue cheese, candied nuts, and perfectly caramelized scallops. Even the Caesar salad deserves a mention. Crisp, fresh, generously dressed, and topped with crunchy croutons and plenty of Parmesan, it was anything but an afterthought. We chose to dine inside, but one of the restaurant's standout features is its spacious covered patio. It creates the perfect indoor/outdoor dining experience, allowing you to enjoy the Florida breeze while staying comfortably shaded. It's the kind of setting that invites you to slow down, relax, and savor a great meal. What impressed us most was the consistency. Every plate arrived looking fantastic and tasted even better. It's clear the kitchen takes pride in every dish that leaves the pass. If you've been driving past The Island Grille wondering whether it's worth a visit, stop wondering. It absolutely is. We left already talking about what we're ordering next time, because there will definitely be a next time. This was an outstanding dining experience, and we can't wait to return and work our way through the rest of the menu. Highly recommended.

Stopped in after a beach day at Fort Desoto. We were seated quickly. We opted for outdoor seating and it was great, they had live music and it wasn’t too hot. Service was a little slow. We got the dozen oysters which were priced at $28 and the fish dip. Not pictured, the coconut shrimp (6 pieces) or the wings. I’ll definitely be stopping back!

Been here a few times in the last two months or so and every time it’s yummy (fav chicken Caesar wrap add bacon). We came in today for the Easter brunch, and it was soooo good! We ordered the Cuban French Toast and breakfast burger, both yummy. LOVED the plantain hashbrowns that came with the burger, perfectly crispy, loved the twist with plantains. Loved the French toast too, flavor and texture 100/10. We will definitely be back.

Hidden gem! Delicious food, reasonable prices (for waterfront) and live music on the patio! They also have daily specials and a special 3 course dinner offered 3-5 M-F and happy hour 3-6 M-F
