(from Google)If you are looking for a vet that prioritizes your pet's health over profit, look elsewhere. My experience here has been frustrating and heartbreaking. My dog was misdiagnosed on multiple occasions. Instead of focusing on the actual symptoms, the staff seemed trained to push a 'corporate script' of excessive testing. I was constantly pressured to agree to expensive heartworm tests, blood panels, and add-ons that had nothing to do with why we were there. I later found out this chain is owned by Mars, Inc. (the candy company), which explains the business model: high volume and high pressure to sell 'wellness plans' and diagnostics. It feels like they are reading from a sales manual rather than treating the patient in front of them. Please save yourself the money and stress—find an independent veterinarian.
They always take me in whenever I’m feeling sick. The staff are extremely nice. We are both satisfied patients and we love Dr.Barisone
I had to unfortunately lay my best friend of 22 years down and VCA Animal Hospital on Lewelling in San Leandro was the only place that would take me on short notice. Even though they don’t do them on weekends, they made an exception and brought me in. The way Megan and the Dr went out of their way to make sure my husband and I were comforted and didn’t need anything. Any special request we asked for of Chico, Megan made sure it was done. She wrote down and made sure to deliver it to the crematorium. I never even knew this hospital was here until the worst day of my life came. I thank God for these people and I still have one remaining beautiful dog left and I will make sure to bring her to this hospital when she needs a check up or any medical treatment necessary. Thank you VCA Hospital, you turned my worst nightmare into an experience that wasn’t so bad.😔
would not recommend this VCA hospital. Be careful with their “Care Club” service: they say it’s canceled but months later you’ll still see charges. Beware: When you visit they do everything to get you on their care club service. On top of that, scheduling has been a constant issue. Communication is poor, and instead of treating my cat right away, they kept rescheduling and told me to give her extra pills, which just caused more delays. It feels like they drag things out to make you come in more often instead of focusing on timely, proper care.
I’ve been taking my pets here for almost 30 years and I have never had anything other than exceptional care. My pets have always looked forward to coming to see all their favorite techs and vets!
