(from Google)My boyfriend and I were visiting Family in Palm Harbor. I’m such a nature person and love to visit state parks. I did a quick google search and A.L. Anderson Park was suggested. Wow! This place is beautiful. Nice place to hike, take your dog for a walk, sit and watch birds, have a picnic what ever. I took a lot of beautiful pictures and met a few nature buddies. I fell in love with this beautiful place. It’s now one of my favorite places to go when we are in Florida. ❤️🫶👌
This park is beautiful but something MUST be done about the picnic pads on the lake. I am a Floridian of 37 years but we should not be this desensitized to eating lunch with gators sitting at our picnic tables. I took my two young kids there for a pub sub picnic and 4 alligators came darting over to us wanting a snack. I know most would say “they won’t bother you they just wanted the sandwiches” but that IS bothering us. My daughter was terrified and we had to leave. I didn’t feel right as a parent letting my kids just sit there being surrounded by hungry gators. This was up close and personal. I respect their habitat and understand we are in theirs but this is what happens when you feed the gators. Fencing or larger docking barriers MUST be put up-or someone WILL get bit-and it will probably be someone trying to feed them. It’s only a matter of time.
It's a cool park. You just need to be careful if you have kids or dogs. There are a lot of gators. People at this park feed the gators, so the gators aren't afraid of humans. They'll come sit right next to you at the picnic benches. They won't bother you if you don't bother them. Again, though, be careful with kids and pets who would want to investigate.
Very beautiful and well kept county park in Tarpon Springs. Nice playground, plenty of pavilions (some on Tarpon Lake), picnic tables with grills and bathrooms. Beautiful nature all around and even a dog park! A beautiful tree for photos as well!
It was a beautiful sunrise today here at Anderson Park. It's always gorgeous after we've had a lot of rain and everything starts to bloom. The boat ramp is open early, but the park is actually open till later. Great hiking trails in the shade. There's swings, a dog park. Very nice pavilions in the shade along the lake. They are also building a new boardwalk. Very well-maintained County Park. Simply paradise photography.
