(from Google)This is a great and serene park alongside the south end of lake tarpon. Has plenty of places to park and a cool boardwalk path. Has pavilions - some right along the water - that can be reserved. A good amount of open air restrooms. We went in July 2026 and there were at least 8 deer in different sections just munching on grass. Will def go back sometime
Beautiful park with amazing view of the Tarpon Lake! You can see gators, snakes , flowers and more! Walking trails all over the place! Tall trees! Easy to park. Love ❤️ every time I come!
What a great park. I'm from Ohio, and I saw so much wildlife that I've never seen before. The park is full of diverse ecosystems and is such a restorative and peaceful place. If I lived near here, I'd go all the time. They have playgrounds, a dog park, great hiking paths and picnic shelters. Such beauty!! Highly recommended.
We had the pleasure of hosting a Bubble Birthday Party at John Chestnut Sr. Park, and it was such a beautiful setting for a family event. The park is incredibly well maintained, with plenty of open space, shaded areas, and a peaceful waterfront view that really sets the tone for a relaxing day outdoors. What stood out most was how perfect the environment was for kids to just be kids, running, laughing, and fully enjoying the bubbles while families gathered and connected nearby. There was a great flow to the space, making it easy for everyone to participate and still feel comfortable. You can tell this park is a go-to spot for the community, and it’s easy to see why. If you’re planning a party, picnic, or just a day out with family, this is definitely a location worth considering. Big Idea Entertainment Tampa was happy to bring the fun and lots of BIG bubbles.
Beautiful! Absolutely gorgeous so many wheelchair accessible walkways Pavillions water fountains swing benches and benches along the paths. Lots of wildlife! One of the best and we go to a lot of parks in Pasco Pinellas areas. Oh yes free parking and best part for most outdoors men and women,pet friendly!!!
