Karen is a pleasure to work with. She is fantastic with dogs and patient with kids. She taught us so much and we are grateful for all of her knowledge. We have used her with 2 different dogs. We highly recommend her for private or group sessions as we have done both.

Karen is a fabulous trainer and a true dog-whisperer by any standards. She is sensitive to the inner workings of both dogs and people and stresses the importance of training through positive reinforcement so your dog feels good about their accomplishments and is eager to learn. We are frequently told by others we meet on our walks with our now one year old doodle how well-behaved and friendly she is to both people and other dogs, and how well she responds to what we ask her to do. Karen’s wisdom and expert guidance have been a tremendous help in getting us off to a great start with our new canine family member and we highly recommend her!

My dogs and I have been fortunate to train with Karen for a number of years. Karen's approach to puppies and dogs emphasizes the bond between human and dog. Not as master and slave, but as partners. I can say unequivocally that my dogs loved their classes, and I loved learning how to better communicate with them, without force, without severe corrections, while honoring their individuality.
