(from Google)Cute and quaint little gem in downtown Winter Garden. The food was pretty good, the service was great and we had a nice time. The live music was great, perfect noise level, you could talk and enjoy the music as well.
Went with my wife and daughter on Saturday night. My wife and I had been once before and enjoyed but for some reason had not returned. We had a great experience again. We ordered the appetizer tower and everything was outstanding. Although designed for two people it was great to share with three of us. After that my wife and daughter shared the wok noodles and added chicken. While they said it was good they did feel it was overpriced, which was opposite of what we felt the value of the tower was…outstanding. I finished with the seasonal bread pudding which was incredible. Service was great as was the live music (We also appreciated that the music was not too loud). Really cool, unique spot that we will be sure to frequent more regularly.
My first impression was not a WAO: -difficult to find as the sign is small on wall, not like other restaurants on same street that are well lid/bigger. -waiter was excellent, very cheerful and apologized for a Gumbo that WAS NOT, to be honest-a disaster which was served with a fork. I’ve eaten real gumbo from the hands that knows how to cook it. Not only was cold, a meager watery portion with hard grain of rice that tasted as it was from the day prior or someone elses un-eaten portion. The pieces of chicken were from the pieces close to bones which were hard to touch. I could not even stomach putting that terrible concoction in my mouth. The person cooking it had no pride on cookin, neither on presentation. On top of it it was not pocket change the price per plate we paid on 4 = $225+ tip. The young man deserved it, not the rest. Since I could not eat the gumbo I leaned to taste my hubby rissoto with salmón. Again, cook does not know how to cook grains. It was hard🙃 two on table liked the salmón. The other person was able to eat the meatloaf which was gigantic meatball ~overall was eatable but, not the best. Since mgr said I should eat it as it was “good” per her recommendations= I tried a piece of the person on table and decided it was not great. Dessert, I loved Crème Brûlèe- another disaster- it was watery, not even close to the texture it must have, a final disappointment. The one thing that I enjoyed was the sliders, hummus, cheeses on the tower of appetizers. I will not return, it was overpriced and not good. I don’t mind paying if is great. This business must do a soul searching of where you want to go. Is not just about making money, how about getting return clients? This same night I met a friend of a friend that said “I wished I knew you before to tell you not to go, my daughter had a bad experience”
This is a nice restaurant located in the downtown Winter Garden. I like the vintage decor and aesthetic of this place. They also have a live music here which is super nice and not too loud. We got the $55 dinner date. You get an appetizer, 2 mains, and a dessert, which is a great deal. The Chicken Marsala was nice, but it took a while to come out. Not all the food came out at the same time so our friends almost finished the food before ours came out.
Excellent date night spot! Dark interior with eclectic furnishings. Such a vibe! On my visit I very much enjoyed the live music which was acoustic guitar and very intimate. Service was great and our server was very attentive. Happy hour specials were solid. Dinner menu is diverse with something for everyone. Vegetarians would be perfectly fine here. Food came out relatively fast considering the kitchen is small…they seemed to be cranking out to food. Kudos to The Attic Door! This first timer will be back
