We really enjoyed this lake!. There were so many different kinds of fowl. We enjoyed feeding them and walking around the lake. There is a sidewalk on the side of the road you can use if you don't want to walk on the grass. Street parking, we had no problem finding a spot. We went on a Thursday. We sat on a bench and ate a small lunch among the "stalkers ." I would definitely take the grandkids. It took about a mile to walk it.

Queen Elizabeth gifted a pair of mute swans from the royal flock on the Thames river to Lakeland, Florida in 1957 to restock Lake Morton after the city's original population vanished. These "Royal Swans" were requested by residents and, upon their arrival on February 8, 1957, became an enduring symbol of the city, with over 89 descendants currently inhabiting the lake. I love to visit the lake as it's now hosts to various species of fowls and birds. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the gorgeous view of the lake.

We were told that swans were there and they weren't lying. Many swans, white and black. Very nice. Reminds me of the parks in Newton/Brookline, Massachusetts. Very peaceful. A nice drive around. Well-kept grounds. Lots of benches.

Beautiful place. Very well maintained and developed so it limits extensive interaction between humans and wildlife such as by not having a sidewalk on the lake side, instead it is lake, road, then side walk in and around the homes. No trash present. Did witness some people throwing fishing nets and I do not know if that is legal, but if it is even with a fishing license, it seems highly inappropriate to do at this place. It doesn't fit the scene. (If it isn't allowed, police should patrol more frequently and get these people because it is affecting wildlife and endangering them and tampering with all the birds there too.)

The lake is beautiful. It was hard to find parking near a picnic table because they were either full or no parking spot near by so we ended up eating in the car but the scenery was still beautiful with the swans and ducks. So peaceful
