(from Google)Reddie Point Preserve situated in Old Arlington on University Blvd. North, is an excellent point for Fishing. There are both Trails and a Kayak Launch. Small Beach access (no lifeguard present). Offers a nice view of downtown Jax and the St Johns River. You can see both Trout River Bridge as well as Talleyrand..
The pier had a good view, but was covered in graffiti and fishermen left decapitated fish heads all over the place. Also there is broken glass on the beach.
Geat place to fish and relax. Definitely need to look at the tide chart/times before going. Great place for a sunset too. Plenty of room at the end of the dock.
A hidden gym!!! Best Sunsets ever here and across the street at Blue Cypress Via Lion's Club Boat Ramp. The trail to the left as you're coming off the pier goes to a beautiful spot on the river, just stay to the left on the trails, and to the right is a perfect view for a sunset on a beach filled with fiddler crabs and skipping stones. Love this place!!!
Amazing little park to bring the kids and dogs. Offers an amazing pier that perfect for fishing or fresh air from the river. Perfect place to see the sunset facing the river and background. Perfect trails into the woods for another beautiful spot to watch the sunset. Only negative issues here are trash buildup on the shores and sacrificial leaving of animals. I dont know what this is for and hopefully has stopped. Leaving chicken carcasses arraigned in a pattern with candles and fruit. Perfect place to see manatee and dolphins as well.
