Highly recommend! Dr. Heffelman is wonderful. He is kind, honest and always willing to answer all of my questions. The staff is also amazing. From the front desk to techs, I appreciate all of them for the care they show to us.

I started taking my dog Rascal to this vet in May 2022 and he did very well with him. I began bringing my younger dog, Shadow, in October 2022 for his shots. In 2023, Shadow was boarded for a week, and he came back a very different dog — fearful and anxious. When I brought him to this vet after that, everything went sideways. Instead of recognizing that Shadow’s behaviors were fear-based, the vet misdiagnosed him as “resource guarding me.” He even predicted Shadow would “break a window to attack someone,” which was not true and extremely upsetting to hear. For context — Rascal is the one who barks at the window and “sounds the alarms.” Shadow does not do that. On top of that, the way he spoke to me about training was condescending. At the time, I was using a clicker differently than the standard “click then treat” method. Because Shadow would not take treats under stress, I used the click sound as an attention cue to redirect him. When I tried to explain, the vet wouldn’t let me. I don’t use the clicker anymore, but now if I snap my fingers, Shadow immediately focuses on me — the exact kind of attention tool I was trying to build in the first place. Shadow’s behaviors were rooted in fear, not aggression. With patience, time, and a different vet who truly listened, he has made incredible progress. I appreciate the care this vet gave Rascal, but if you have a fearful or special-needs dog, I would not recommend him. Fear-based behaviors require patience and empathy, not judgment.

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Heffelman! He is absolutely amazing with my three dogs and really takes the time to know each of them personally. It’s so comforting to see that he remembers all the little details, even if it’s been a while since our last visit. The staff is also incredibly friendly, which makes a big difference, especially when you're worried about your pets’ health. Thank you, Dr. Heffelman and staff, for loving my fur babies and taking such wonderful care of them! You all are the best!

The staff is caring and professional. Dr. Heffelman is a great veterinarian. He saved the life of the rescue dog we adopted. Turned out the dog had a massive heartworm infection. The doctor saved her life through his careful treatment, making sure she tolerated each procedure, which can be dangerous, before doing the next treatment. Today our dog is healthy and happy.

The staff are good but the vet is super, he helped save our foster (fail) pup and showed generally cared! The backup vet is amazing as well! Don't let his young age fool you, he knows his stuff and both vets love pets! I'll miss the Saturday option times, but glad the Dr. H and his staff have the chance to have their weekends. He isn't the cheapest vet in town, but he is worth ever dime in my option! He helped get our Gracie healthy after we found her on a reservation, dumped off to die! Need a vet, try Dr. H, you will be glad you did!
