(from Google)The food here was very good! So far I have tried the Santa Maria BBQ Chicken Salad and the Cilantro Chicken, and I highly recommend the Santa Maria. The bread here is also very good. The only issue was that the tables don’t stay very clean, but you can tell the workers stay busy most of the time, so I don’t blame them. It’s not the dirtiest, just a few crumbs here and there. Definitely check it out !
The Ahi salad was well made and the Japanese dressing was perfectly refreshing. It came with a focaccia type bread which was fresh. Service was quick considering how busy they were. The young lady who made our salads was very precise and genuinely looked like she took pride in her job which showed in the salad. It's rare to see that these days. She rocks.
First time here after wondering about it for years. Service was great. Food was flavorful and fresh. Loved sitting in the sun listening to music.
BUGS IN THE SALAD! My wife ordered a Urbane Cafe salad to-go last week. Started eating it to discover something bitter and moving inside her mouth. She spit out a quarter-sized moth (see picture)! It was still twitching. So she screams, vomits into the trash can, then screams some more once I verify she really did eat a live bug from Urbane Cafe. After taking a few minutes to pull herself together, we went to the store (with the food and moth) to let them know what happened. Staff said they couldn't offer a refund without the manager there. You'd think this would warrant calling the manager, but no. The next day the manager reached out and offered two $5 gift cards (for a $15 salad) that aren't even valid until 2026. I've waited a week to see if someone else would reach out to try and make this right, but they have apparently moved on. Not sure what we wanted or expected since my wife can't bring herself to ever try this place again anyway, but we were surprised they cared so little about serving bugs to their customers. She hasn't been able to eat take-out for the past week. Order from here at your own peril.
Location in Chula Vista- Bonita Point…The staff there is amazing. Specially that Manager… His name is Chris.. We’ll go eat lunch there, just to have some laughs with Chris. Oh yeah… Lets not forget, the food is great too😉
