I have to give this location a shoutout after my experience today. I booked my little guy a grooming appointment for 8:15am (or at least thought I did, ha). When I showed up and we weren't in the system, Esperanza despite having an already full schedule happily offered to take him anyway. She was so kind, warm, and did a great job with him. I was fully prepared and okay with coming back for another day, but she went above and beyond for us with such kindness. Truly a gem. We will continue to support this location and use Esperanza for all future grooming!

I booked a $79 grooming package for my dog Leo at Petco, which included a bath, haircut, and nail trim. However, the groomer told me she couldn’t do the haircut because Leo wasn’t stable, and I’d need to bring him back next Sunday for that. Despite no haircut, I was charged $72 just for the bath and nail trim—yet his nails were still sharp afterward. When I asked about just a haircut next time, they quoted me $92—and said they wouldn’t do just the haircut alone. They’d insist on a full bath and nail trim again, just a week later, for the full $92. I feel like this wasn’t fair or transparent and wanted to share my experience. The funny part is I gave the stylist $10 tip . Very unprofessional. It took her 3 hours . To wash and nail trim which was not trimmed!!! He is a 6 month month mini golden doodle not even a big dog. I dropped him @2 pm and picked him up @5:40pm . I hope you get what you deserve ms Kennedi and your coworkers. I didn’t pay piece of paper I paid money and didn’t get the service I paid for. If you don’t like your job try different careers.

Giving the dog wash station a 4.5 because it definitely did the job as far as: having a reasonably high tub with steps for your pup to make the whole process less strenuous, it easily had a hose to make lathering much easier, which also included shampoo rinses for those who need it, and it had the hair dryer well placed near a hook for your pup to not complicate what can be a stressful situation for some. The only reason it does not get 5 stars is because the hair dryer is pretty weak, I tried drying my dog completely before leaving the store but after almost 45 minutes of drying, I just didn’t feel it going anywhere, he was better off sticking his head out the car on the way home. Needless to say he left the store pretty damp, which, a little bit defeated the really good bath I gave him.

Best Petco in Dallas! Wow! I wish they didn’t display pets the way the do like products in the cutsey wall cages but other than that, they have so many things that other pet stores either don’t carry or are out of stock (always) I went with my chihuahua yesterday and we both loved the whole trip! They even had the flavor of her food that I thought as discontinued since it’s not sold at any of the other Petcos.

Today I went to use the self-wash for my dog. It cost $20. Everything was fine, really, except I would have liked the shampoo not to be diluted with so much water and for the dryer to actually blow out the necessary air. Your customer service was good. I wasn't disappointed. I'm just pointing out areas where you could improve. Thank you, Petco.
