Petco

To the Management Team, I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the significant decline in the quality of the aquatics department at your 3050 N Powers branch. As a long-term customer who has invested substantially in saltwater livestock and coral through Petco, I have noticed a concerning shift in both department maintenance and professional standards over the last several months. Previously, the department manager provided an exceptional level of expertise and service that made this location my primary destination for reef-keeping needs. Recently, however, it has become increasingly difficult to secure assistance. Furthermore, the health of the livestock has plummeted; I have received multiple orders involving diseased or deceased specimens. Currently, the tanks remain darkened due to ongoing bacterial issues, which suggests a systemic failure in husbandry protocols. I hope to see these issues addressed, as I would prefer to continue my patronage at a store that reflects the high standards Petco previously maintained.

I was there on 2 different days to get fish and aquarium supplies. The young lady and the gentleman that helped me were both amazing. They have great attitudes, gave lots of useful information and had outstanding customer service.

Love the products that I continuously purchase from petco. Only reason why it’s a 4/5 is because the associate ringing me out said I had too much on my hands so she didn’t verify my pickup order… she says that as my dog has a do not pet sign on his vest and got upset that he growled because she tried to pet him as we walked up. He’s not aggressive, just protective. Respect the vest next time!

I used to enjoy shopping at this Petco, but the customer service, especially in the aquatics department, has declined significantly over the past year. I visit multiple stores for fish, and this location is the closest to me, but I now avoid it because of repeated negative experiences. During numerous visits, usually once a month throughout the year, the same issue occurred. No staff were available in aquatics, which I understand since employees often have multiple responsibilities. However, after notifying the front desk that I needed assistance, I would return to the aquatics section and wait ten to fifteen minutes with no one arriving. When I checked again, I was told someone had already been sent or would be sent shortly, yet no one ever came. Unfortunately, this pattern has often involved the aquatics manager. He used to be dependable, which is one of the reasons I continued to shop here, but that reliability has declined. My most recent visit was the final straw. I waited for about thirty minutes and asked for assistance twice. When the aquatics manager finally appeared, he assisted a customer who arrived after me and then went straight back to his office. A front-end employee even acknowledged that I had arrived first and should have been helped before the later customers. Overall, this store’s customer service, especially in aquatics, has become consistently unreliable. If you are looking for a Petco with better service and selection, I recommend the location on Prominent Point.

Just git two new hamsters yesterday. Ones perfectly fine and happy and the other has been falling over and today he fell over and started shaking and breathing heavily and now hes just breathing heavily and idk what to do bc everything is closed and if we bring him back they prob won't even believe us like most places
