(from Google)Beautiful View. But sadly the watch tower is closed at the moment. There is no sign of it saying its closed at the beginning of the trail but when you get to that point its closed and you cant trespass to the end.
Great! Love the view from the top of the tower! Easy walk with bike racks at the start of it (to park your bike). On the boardwalk, both sides are pure wilderness. It is very walkable and there shouldn't be any complications with walking on the trail. This is not a very long trail, which is why it's perfect for pretty much anyone!
Nice short walk easy walk. No bugs early November 2024. Wish it wasn’t blocked off. Good amount of parking. No restrooms. Would not come here again - one and done.
This is a nice trail for when you don't want to go too far but want a scenic reward at the end. The trail has an observation tower where one can see for miles above the mangroves. The trail ends at a small covered area with benches right on the channel. Sometimes people fish from this spot, but it is usually pretty quite even when others are around. Lots of cute little crabs live in the mangroves by the water. Beware the huge yellow orb weaver spiders in later summer!!
Great escape from commercial city living, even though it's three blocks away. The crab spiders are pretty to see in the trees, the mangroves themselves are very pretty, and finally the end boardwalk and lookout tower is exceptional to end the walk.
