Heather and Alex are amazing! Heather always do a great job grooming my dog and Alex is really welcoming when I come in! I have been coming here for a few years and have always had a good experience :)

I have taken my dog here since we rescued him 6 years ago. However, I will never come back here ever again. To start, I noticed that when I picked my dog up his face was trimmed extremely short. When I spoke with the groomer at drop off. We agreed we would give him his usual round cut. Not a big deal- hair will grow back. He still looked cute. Later the next day my husband noticed my dog was not opening up his eye. He noticed a dark red mark under his eye and just assumed it was stain-which is normal. So he continued to try to clean around his eye and realized it wasn’t a stain ,it was cut. Then he took a closer look and noticed our dog had another noticeable nick on the same side of his face. I understand accidents happen and wasn’t upset about the mistake. I was more upset that it happened and the groomer didn’t communicate that to me. I immediately called and spoke with a young gentleman on the phone about my grooming experience. I was not upset at this point. I just wanted to speak with someone to see what happened so I knew what happened my dog and what to look out for. I sent him over two photographs showing where my dog had been nicked. He was very kind and took down my information and said he would call the manger/owner. When he called me back he said that his boss would be calling me back the next day. And that he was taking this very seriously. I said , thank you before hanging up the phone. Cut to the following evening. No one had reached out or contacted me. So I called back. The same person picked up and sounded confused when I told him his boss never reached out to me. He then told me, he had told his boss what happened and he should be reaching out to me. That was on Saturday. 3 days later I had still not heard back from anyone. So I called back in the morning hoping to hear something, anything.A very kind young woman answered and I very calmly and patiently retold what had happened. She took down my information and said she would let her boss know. I told her when her boss called me and I didn’t answer to leave a voicemail. Cut to - later that day 45 minutes before they close. I still had not heard back from anyone. At this point I am starting to feel like I am intentionally being ignored. It has now been 5 days since I first contacted them to let them what had happened to our dog. This time a different male picked up the phone. I am assuming it was the owner or the manger. He had my information and knew why i was calling. He listened to what I had to say. But then followed it up with he spoke with the groomer she said my dog had goopy eyes and she did her best to clean his eyes. Which wasn’t the issue. The issue was the cuts on his face left by the groomer and lack of accountability and avoidance. I said I had been bringing my dog there for years and am a loyal customer. To which he said , I see you have been bringing your dog in on and off for a few years. He then mentioned that my dog’s grooming habits. Insinuating that I only bring my dog in a few times a year that the injury could’ve been from the lack of grooming on my end….. ummmm excuse me!!!! I wipe and groom our dog everyday. He is shitzu and HAS TO BE brushed often otherwise he gets tangled within a month. He also has to receive drops in eyes so I am constantly looking at his face and those cuts weren’t there before. I know our dog’s face. I would have noticed those marks on his face. I also said him if he had spoken to the groomer why no one had contacted me for days!? I know accidents happen. It wasn’t the mistake it was lack of accountability and how rude the 3rd person I spoke with was(assuming it was manger/owner since he said he had spoken to the groomer about this)It was waiting 5 days without communication when my dog has cuts on his face. It was the rude comments by the manger implying that since I only go there 1-2 times a year I wasn’t important enough for them to want to accommodate me or apologize.I do normally not leave bad reviews the way this was handled was wrong

I have had my dog, Cooper groomed at Urban Dog ,Uptown for about 4 years now. They are very welcoming and competent and I highly recommend their services, About two years ago, my long-time groomer left and I was quite sad about that. However, the Manager said not to fret as he had someone special that he thought I would like. Yes, Indeed, he recommended Jackson and he has been my pup's go-to groomer since that time. Jackson is extremely skilled and amazingly good at what he does Cooper lights up when we arrive at Urban Dog and goes willingly with Jackson to be groomed. Cooper is a mini golden doodle and a little fussy, at times but that is not a difficulty for Jackson who handles him quite well in a very comfortable manner. I know that the many times I pick Cooper up, he will look great -and perhaps , I can add, that Jackson may be the very best groomer he has ever had. Thanks to the manager at Urban Dog for sending Jackson my way I also might add. you won't be disappointed with Urban Dog's services and your dog will look super special when you pick him (her) up.

The front desk staff was great, but I cannot believe how terribly my blue merle came out of the full service with Heather, I believe. I thought that surely things would settle and it would look fine, but a day later both of my aussies look worse. My black aussie has an uneven face and poorly trimmed paws, but otherwise looks fine and was done by Samantha I believe. For just shy of $300 (with the $40 new client discount) the way my merle looks is completely unacceptable. I gave this place a chance after seeing poor reviews about a groomer Crystal and I ensured I did not have that groomer and was reassured that Heather and Samantha have been with the company for a long time and would do well. I had also not requested any add ons (teeth brushing) but the merle had his teeth brushed. They ultimately did not charge for this, but the overall experience would never, ever drive me to bring my dogs here again. My poor merle is a complete mess. The inconsistency in quality, and the low end of that quality, should not be an output from any trained groomer.

I’ve taken Lenny to Crystal twice for a haircut. Both times I had to ask her to bring Lenny back to fix a few things, which is fine. However, yesterday her chest looked pretty butchered and was not able to be fixed. It’s pretty disappointing for a $120 service. They also asked me to pay/tip prior to seeing her, which is a little backwards.
