(from Google)I requested an estimated price for spay from the nurse during my visit and was told it would be sent to me. At checkout, I asked the front desk for a digital receipt and was again told it would be emailed. I have received nothing. Being told twice that something will be sent and then receiving no follow-up is unacceptable. This reflects poor communication and lack of organization.
Vet is helpful, but front desk communication is poor. The medical care here is good, but the front desk service was very disappointing. The staff member I spoke with was dismissive and repeatedly interrupted me while I was trying to describe my cat’s acute pain symptoms. Instead of seeking to understand or confirm details, she simply stated "I don't understand" in a very blunt and cold manner. Dealing with a pet’s injury is stressful enough; the front desk should be more empathetic and professional when communicating with concerned owners.
I am so thankful for Irvine Pet Hospital. We are new to California and trying to find your vet, doctors, etc can be super overwhelming. I took my senior 16 years cat Sushi here and everyone was so good with her and most importantly they made me feel super comfortable not pushing unnecessary vaccines or tests and just made sure they took care of the situation we came in for. The price was extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend Irvine Pet Hospital.
Brought my dog in for an anesthetic dental. The doctor explained all the ways it was safe for 15 minutes. I drop him off in the morning, they say I can pick him up on the afternoon. I spend 8 hours worried about my dog, who is a breed that's sensitive to anesthesia. I come to retrieve my dog, and they say they ran a standard senior blood panel and didn't actually put him under. They were extremely annoyed with me, and I was disappointed that they didn't actually do the procedure we'd discussed. I'm left with a big bill and a need to schedule a new appointment. Will it be with this vet? How many times is it okay to be without your dog and have *no idea* whether they'll do what you brought him in for? Edit: After IPH made the comment below, the vet in question emailed me directly without an attempt to resolve or clarify, but instead to say bye. Bummer.
The Irvine Pet Hospital is a wonderful place to take your precious pets. The entire staff are compassionate, professional and always greet with a welcoming smile. The doctors will answer any and all questions you have and take the greatest care with your animals. I have taken my furbabies to many facilities, but Irvine Pet Hospital will be the only one going forward. It is a full service....health care, boarding and grooming.
