Myron and Helen Gibbons Nature Preserve

Wow!! I am so happy I found this place! What a hidden gem in the Brandon, Valrico, Riverview area, you don't even have to pay anything like the other state parks. It's a simple you park and enjoy the trail most definitely I'd say it was hiking for beginners. They even had complimentary walking sticks, which I must say was needed at some points. The water levels were very low because of the drought we're in but you definitely see the Alafia River at some point and turtles! Definitely going back again

Good for a walk. Nothing big but the trails look nice. Benches spread out throughout the trail for breaks if needed. The trail does make a loop when the fork splits it. Its a long loop so be prepared to either turn around if tired or keep going to get back. Only did the left path and it has a stream going along it. A bit dry and low but its not that time of the season.

Nice little hiking trail, easy to miss the parking area. There's some hidden roots and steep areas so if you have some mobility issues be prepared.

Small park with a short and easy trail. Nice views though. Know before you go: No restrooms, no paved walkways, not sure about pet policy. No entrance fee and limited parking.

Beautiful trail to spend a little time on while enjoying nature. The sound of the creek makes it a relaxing place to sit or hang in a hammock to enjoy a little peace. I was there on a cold day so no mosquitoes but they would definitely be a problem on a warm day so I recommend bringing some bug spray. This trails not fit for bikes, strollers or wheel chairs due to a lot of tree roots and also a lot of hills. This trail was an unexpected surprise because of it's location. Parking lot is very small and the entrance comes up rather quickly when traveling to the trail. It's very easy to pass it by
