(from Google)What an amazing trail!! The packed gravel trail makes a great walking surface, even for families. There's SO much wildlife. If you're a birder, you probably already know this spot. If not, get there NOW! The deer are plentiful and very chill. If you don't act predatory, they'll just about ignore you. If you're just looking for a peaceful place to walk, this trail has peace to spare. The two porta-johns near the parking lot (behind the school) have been clean every time I've gone. *Please, please, please respect the wildlife - don't feed, harass, or attempt to touch the animals; and don't stray off of the trail. Let's keep this place special!
Great park. The signs along the way were very informative. Nice wide boardwalks. Path was graveled well and above grade to stay well drained. Not many people on a Thursday afternoon.
Nice trail loop through the forested area and a boggy area, about 2-3 miles. Lots of gray squirrels and saw a couple deer.
Great place to walk with the kids and see the diversity of both the forest and wetland ecosystems. Lots of animals. There are benches to sit and rest if needed.
Visiting from Nova Scotia and we look for nice trails to meander along. This one is perfect. It offered a lot of beauty with boardwalk, woods, deer, egret, ducks, detailed history boards and friendly folks walking their dogs. Well maintained, porta potty at entrance, ample parking.
