It was a pleasant and informative visit. My Puppy Otis has bad anxiety, but the nice staff made it easier for both of us. Would highly recommend Them.

We had to say goodbye to our 17 year old dog, Fry recently. We had been planning to have someone come to our home when the time came, but it was the day after Christmas, so no one was available to do so. We ended up going to lake hickory veterinary hospital to say our goodbyes. We were a mess, just completely overwhelmed with emotion and in a haze. From the first call and from the moment we arrived, this vet handled us and our beloved dog with such care and compassion. They brought us to a quiet room, with dim lighting and soft bird sounds playing, and offered us a hersheys kiss to give our dog as a last treat. They gently helped our dog onto a soft blanket and let us spend as much time with him as we needed, and told us we could let them know when we were ready to say goodbye. We were too flustered and emotional at the time to really express how much we appreciated their kindness, but I’m hoping this review can express that. On top of all of that, we recently received a beautiful card from them in the mail, sharing their condolences, and they all signed it. It brought us to tears. What a thoughtful veterinary practice, filled with kind and good hearted people. Thank you so much to all of you. God bless.

Willow and I have never had such a wonderful, calm experience at the vet. My cat has been known to be very spicy but Dr. Hefner and staff were so easy it put her right at ease. Thank you so very much!

Dr Madelyn Moore is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. No consult or explanation of meds on top of sending home a DEAD CAT KNOWING IT WAS ALL Ready DEAD ALONG WITH LIES OF THE CAR WAS MUCH BETTER. THIS WOMAN SHOULD HAVE HER VETERINARIAN LICENSE TAKEN AWAY..

Simply the best! We have been taking our dogs to Lake Hickory Veterinary Hospital ever since we moved here 13 years ago. Between Dr. Gander, Dr. Reed, and Dr. Hefner, they have been caring, professional, and always took the time to listen and answer our questions and concerns even through the most difficult days. We will always be grateful to Dr. Reed for spending so much of her time with us after our Aussie Indi suddenly passed away.
