(from Google)The riverwalk was very nice. The trail is paved and easy to walk and actually stays along the river for the most part. The total trail was almost 7 miles out and back. Lots of other walkers out with their dogs and all but one had them on a leash and were all well behaved. Plenty of places to stop and take a break along the trail if you need it. At the far end of the trail by the trestle there is another parking area with some restrooms.
Love this place, safe, clean and beautiful. The trail is 2.5 miles long one wa, it's good to ride your bike, scooter, walk the dog, meditate, even a date and is family friendly. It's a beautiful piece of nature God granted us and Rock Hill maintains it very well, there are bathrooms available and plenty ofnparking space. Pics attached in different seasons..
Paved hiking/walking/biking trail along the Catawba river. Beautiful views of the river all along the way. Though it is all gray in February, I can imagine how beautiful it is going to get in spring and summer. Some hilly sections with gentle inclines reach height of up to hundred feet above the ground level.
Riverwalk Park in Rock Hill, SC, is a beautiful riverside retreat that offers something for everyone. The Catawba River views are absolutely stunning, making it the perfect place for peaceful walks, bike rides, or just relaxing on a bench while enjoying the natural surroundings. The well-maintained trails are ideal for both casual strollers and fitness enthusiasts, with scenic paths that wind through trees and along the water. There’s also a kayak launch for those who enjoy getting out on the river, and the green spaces are great for picnics or family gatherings. The park’s atmosphere is serene and clean, with plenty of spots to take in nature or snap a photo. With nearby dining options and frequent community events, it’s not just a park—it’s a destination. Highly recommended for a day of outdoor adventure or simple relaxation!
A slightly challenging walk with the most beautiful views. I went at noon but I think earlier or later would mean a lot more shaded areas. The path seems well maintained and everyone I passed was friendly. There are benches and lookouts along the way. There are public bathrooms at the beginning of the trail that are very clean and easily accessible. There’s a wheelchair accessible portapotty as well. Several restaurants in walking distance.
