Great open space area not far from Boulder. Two parking areas (one across the road at Harper Lake). A great dog park and plenty of space to roam. Great spot to view the Boulder Valley.

Beautiful open space to walk, explore nature, catch some fresh air. However, I’m removing one Star for bicyclists who do not consider the pecking order of trails. If I am a pedestrian on foot, and you are on a bike, and you see me before I see you… Use. Your. Brakes! People on foot DO have the right of way. Please be cautious.

Great place to run. Trailhead has limited parking so if full you can park across the street and take the underpass walkway. The views of the flatirons are great from everywhere but especially from the west side of the dog park. The dog park closes at times due to mud or other issues so beware. Popular place to run or ride bike. The trails are crushed rock mostly and well maintained. Flat and easy trails to walk. Lots of runners or walkers and dogs.

Good off leash area. Parking not great, often full, but always more across mccaslin at harper lake. Wish there was a water source, but most locals refill the bowls with gallon jugs from home. Heavy rain or snowmelt will shit this place down. Some basic drainage improvements would solve it. Some of the best views around though. And most of the owners and dogs are really great.

10/10 new favorite walking trail I’ve found in a while. Parking lot is small but trails are really well maintained. Mountain views and TONS of prairie dogs and nearby horses! There’s a big gated dog park but dogs must be leashed on the trails which I realllyyyy appreciate since the Boulder Voice & Sight tag dogs rarely stay by their owners and my dog is small and shy. Love it!!
