They do good with our animals, only downside side is the wait time. It seems every appointment we have there is an hour+ wait, even just for one vaccine. I understand having other things going on but when its 3 appointments in a row it gets a little frustrating for me and my cats.

So, I have gone here for years with my kitty cat. My kitty is currently rooming with my parents because reasons, but she always has food, litter, etc., and is indoor only. My mom took my cat because I needed a break from work and life. Apparently, that was a mistake. Last year's exam: clean bill of health for my girl. This year's exam: periodontal disease and needs a $2200 tooth extraction. Different doctors, and I will be seeking an answer as to why Dr. Oberman said my cat was fine and Dr. Crawford disagrees. Pet insurance is great, I have it, but it reimburses you and no one has $2 grand just on hand for a pet emergency, not when they have bills, rent, and a vehicle. I will be taking her elsewhere if it turns out she needs the extraction and I probably will be changing over vets because this is ridiculous. They also, that I can tell, do not upload their notes into the portal so you can even see how/why the doctors may have reached different conclusions. Maybe I am picky... but that was Espresso's last visit there.

I've had nothing but great experiences here! The staff is great as well as very caring and Dr. Ryan Krysl is amazing and I appreciated the check ins on my kitty who had been sick and being able to reach out to him via text! We are going to miss you guys!!!

Edit Post: VCA office did reach out, they have been nothing but kind and have tried to accommodate the best they can. While they know the situation can’t be fixed they have made efforts to make it better. I was issued a full refund and the office customized some memorial gifts for my girl. I appreciate their kindness and the ownership of the situation. I am going to start by saying the actual vet was amazing. He was kind and compassionate during my dogs last quality of life appointment. He is the only reason I am giving any stars period. To explain the situation I brought my dog in for her quality of life appointment before making the difficult decision to put her down after almost 16 years together. Like I said before the vet came in to explain the process and shortly after a vet tech came in to collect payment. At that time he let us know that we had two options; one being a private cremation and one being a group cremation. He advised with the group cremation she will be laid on her own next to other pets and then the ashes will be returned to us. He showed us the different urn options and he showed which one comes complimentary with the process. I told him I had plans to make rings out of her and her sisters ashes so the complimentary one would be fine. He then took my payment, almost $500, and we signed the papers and he had me select the option for a complimentary paw print as well. The rest of the process went as smoothly as it could have gone. A week later I receive a call from the vet stating that her paw print was ready. When I called about the ashes they said they had no ashes for my dog. I was immediately in hysterics. My husband called, at which time he was told that only the private cremations get returned even though we had specifically been told the opposite by their staff. The apologized and attempted to reach out to the cremation company but to no avail they had already gotten rid of my dog. They advised that the vet tech who told me I would be getting her ashes back either way was new. They offered to provide me a plaque with my dogs dates of life and death as well as issue a partial refund. I normally do not write reviews but I am physically sickened and heart broken and would not wish this on anyone else's family member. I had walked with my sweet girl for almost 16 years and this was a devastating error.

I could not recommend VCA Southeast Area enough! The front desk staff, the vet techs and the DVMs are all just so kind and welcoming. I’ve had to take my Lucy girl to the vet 2x this week due to some sort of horrible skin infection she has going on. Dr. Games was so wonderful to both me and Lucy! He was extremely attentive and I didn’t feel like any aspect of our visit was rushed through. He provided Lucy with gentle and compassionate care and it was evident that he cares about his patients as if they were his own pets. It’s so stressful when your own fur-baby isn’t feeling well, but I have found so much peace knowing that Lucy is in the hands and care of such a kind, caring and compassionate staff! Thank you for taking such great care of my girl. No wonder why she LOVES going to vet!
