Groton Ledyard Veterinary Hospital

Recently moved to the area with my 15 yr old dog. I won't lie, he's a bit of a handful at the vet even for his age. The staff was absolutely wonderful with him, even the one who got headbutted and scratched to bits. My apologies but also, thank you for everyone on staff who managed him and with no complaints about his behaviour! As a pet "owner" it's so hard to find a vet you can trust and I am certain I did here!

Hopkins was in a lot of pain this morning in his rear left leg. I was very worried about him, and extremely thankful that Groton Ledyard Vet was able to get him in same day for help. The doctor was kind, professional and smart. Its a great feeling knowing they are there and available to do their part.

We’ve been bringing our pets to GLVH for many years, and I can’t say enough about the outstanding care and compassion they provide. They’ve gone above and beyond for us countless times — accommodating urgent visits for our senior dogs, emergency care for our naughty puppies and working around my unconventional work schedule. They have always been understanding and patient (even when I haven’t been the easiest client to work with!). It’s clear that everyone here genuinely cares about both the animals and the people who love them.

Such a wonderful office! They are patient and compassionate with my pets, and kind and knowledgeable with my thousands of questions. I've always been able to get my fur babies in for emergencies and they are great about follow-up calls and care.

My 12 year old tuxedo boy, Eddy is very happy now that he’s had his dental cleaning and tooth extraction with Dr. Ross and her team. He suffers with tooth resorption and had broken his last fang recently. Luckily, he was able to get into an emergency appointment with Dr. Bender and a plan was made for his surgery. When he woke up from his surgery, the tech who called me was extremely upbeat which is impotent to me because I knew everything went well. Now he’s feeling much better, is running and playing like a kitten and I swear even looks younger. Great experience overall! ❤️
