Calming spot for a stroll and some reflection. Enjoyed a nice 30 minute walk around the park and local area. Lots of people out with their families and dogs. Various statues and beautiful trees to enjoy as well.
This spot of greenery provides a park buffer between the waterfront harbor and the busy St Pete street with upscale eateries and stores. A few benches offer some seating with one bench by the fountain. A great respite in the city.
I love this park and come here frequently. It's very quiet considering it's in the middle of downtown St Petersburg. There's also lots of wildlife here, like parrots and spoonbills.
Downtown St Petersburg is amazing. The founders were determined to maintain the original natural settings as much as possible. The waterfront captures the essence of why people come to visit then move to the area. There is so much to do around this part...two excellent museums and outdoor dining, a long causeway to the end of the pier. It all circles the historic park and draws people to engage in nature.
