if you are in the area and have cats, i highly recommend lighthouse! i recently took both of my 7 year old cats to establish care and the environment is so positive. the staff are gentle, informative, and they take their time with you and your babies. i am so appreciative to have a vet that specializes in cats and creates a space that takes into consideration how stressful a visit can be. both of my cats were so relaxed after their visits (including lab work and vaccines) that they were taking naps on the way out! highly recommend.

Dr. Nelson is very thorough and provides considerate care of cats AND their owners. When I sat in the waiting area with tears running down my face because I wasn't sure how long my senior kitty with kidney disease would live, Dr. Nelson and her staff were professional and caring. They made sure my questions were answered and I was reassured that we were all doing what needed to be done to provide quality of life for her.

My cat Muffin had a chronic respiratory infection for 3 years. The old vet first gave him a shot that helped for two weeks, before his symptoms came back. I went back a year later and my old vet put him on a medication and told me this was his norm. The medication only worked for three weeks. I transferred his care to light house at the beginning of May. The staff is amazing, and all cat lovers. They loved on him and were kind. Dr. Nelson is amazing. She told me that the old vet was correct about this being his norm, but she explained why it was in a way that made sense. She put him on Antibiotics for two weeks. He is a whole new cat. He’s much more energetic, and out spoken. Even if this upturn is only temporary, this Vet has shown true care for my cat, and I am very grateful

We were lucky to have had our appointment moved up by 10 days due to a cancelation. I recently moved to Virginia, and my senior cat was in need of his arthritis shot. Thankfully, we were able to get in early, and the people could not have been more welcoming. From the receptionist to the techs and Dr. Johnson, all so kind and warm. I felt at ease at once. I knew we were in good hands. Plus it's for cats only which I like. Highly recommend.

I absolutely adore this team of cat lovers. They have made my ex feral cat feel so much more safe at her vet appointment. She is very triggered by fast hands and dogs barking and I couldn't be more pleased with how gently they treated my sweet girl. I have always been on top of my cats vet care, but I have noticed an extra level of care since moving them here. My last vet never mentioned anything about my other cat needing a dental, Dr. Nelson showed me that he was in need of one at our first appointment, and I am very satisfied with her work. We had a minor complication with removing a tooth, but it is finally starting to heal up nicely after a round of antibiotics. I cannot say enough great things about this vet practice. I feel like my cats were always kind of glanced at and sent on their way after their shots and bloodwork until I started bringing them here. Now, every inch of them is inspected, and I feel reassured that I am doing right by them.
