(from Google)Our service was top notch. The food was amazing. I highly suggest the 1129 burger with pineapple. The seasoned fries were perfect. We sat on the patio right next to the Riverwalk. Beautiful back story to the restaurant as well. I really suggest supporting this local favorite.
Went in tonight for girls night. The atmosphere is gorgeous and has such a positive vibe. The drinks were amazing. The Pork Nachos I had were so good my husband squandered all of my leftovers, which were a lot, it's an unbeatable price for the size..
We spent the evening there and the prime rib was nasty and burnt, asparagus was like eating twigs, mash potatoes was cold like they just brought them out of the freezer, customer service sucked spent well over $80 worst prime rib we ever had, never go there again! I am so glad you got back with me, we were there last night (New Year’s Eve). For starters, as soon as my friend first walked in she asked about the different wines and the male waiter never answered. Instead he brought something out she didn’t order. From there it just got worse. I posted a pic of the dinner as well as our conversation earlier from your f/b group page, which you deleted! Although hard to tell the mashed potatoes were cold as ice, the prime rib, was over cooked. We sent 3 of the 4 plates back to the kitchen and 20-30 minutes later the food was brought back with no change. No one ever checked on us or asked how the food was. We paid a $80 bill with no compensation to the bill. Since a comedy show was going on it was hard to complain, and I realize now we should have brought the situation to the manager, although the waitress DID know we were not happy! Unfortunately, we paid for a horrible meal which really put a damper on the entire night. I’d like to warn others to go elsewhere and not waste their time or hard earned money!
Cute place right on the riverwalk. Outdoor seating as well as a nice clean indoor restaurant and bar area. The employees are friendly and the food is fresh and tastes good. We tried the fried pickles and they were really good and crunchy. The waffles are so thick! We tried chicken and waffles and the chicken was well cooked and the waffle was fluffy and good. The Monte Cristo was good and came with a spicy jam. Will come back to try more of the menu options. I also love the story behind this place being a tribute to a lost family member.
When we arrived there was only one server working, Julie, and while she kicked butt solo, there was still quite a wait. Other customers, and even Julie admitted that this place is "known for being slow". Service overall once helped is great. Julie is friendly, fun and engaging. Two other waitstaff arrived as we finished our meal, they were also exceptionally friendly. The male, tall server, seemed to take quite the pride in the in house made flavors they use in their mixed drinks, showing us the different ones and sharing his favorite. The other female waitstaff was also very friendly, and took great care of us as we decided to stay a bit longer. Food was ok overall, not anything I'd go out of my way for. Drinks were pretty decent and interesting as I tried their lavender Lemon drink they had for international woman's day. My recommendation to the owners would be to have menus accessible or on the table versus guests having to wait until the waitstaff brings them, or for staff to drop menus at the table upon first greeting them. Hopefully somewhat speeding up the service- especially when short staffed. We sat outside as they offer seating close to the Riverwalk.
