Spruced Goose Station: fresh eats and treats

We were looking for a casual breakfast stop found this restaurant on the map with great reviews. Thinking, we will see about that. They exceed expectations in every category. Friendly, great atmosphere, not rushed and the food … excellent! The breakfast sandwiches, coffee, tea all excellent. We will be back!

We were greeted warmly when we walked in. The server showed us the menus so we could sit and look over them. When we asked to sit outside she came out and wiped down the table and chairs. She kindly communicated to us to just come back in to order when we were ready. She was attentive and careful to take our order correctly. I have diet restrictions and when I asked for no meat she offered alternatives. When the cook overhead she asked her not to charge me full price but a-la-cart. When I changed my mind because some of the items I was only getting because they came with the meal she was very patient in taking them off. Our food came very quickly and they included the avocado I took off for no extra charge and offered the toast in case I didn't get enough to eat. They apologized for the hot beverage delay but made sure we had what we ordered, mindful to offer honey and milk choices for my tea. Everything was delicious, properly portioned, and beautifully presented.

I love this place! Drove out of my way because face it, it just looks awesome. The food was amazing, coffee was great! I’m a Starbucks, French Roast type of guy, and they have a coffee here that’s called Brainstormin, AMAZING! I don’t usually leave great comments because I’m brutally honest. Everything about this place is cool and the people that work here, very professional and helpful. They were patient with me, helped me when needed. Very nice place.

Have you experienced this gem yet? We highly recommend you give them a try. We are ALWAYS looking for some place in Gastonia area for breakfast as the options are limited. The Spruced Goose serves breakfast and lunch!!! Food was delicious and affordable! Staff is friendly, inviting, hardworking and accommodating! Love the atmosphere! And...they are pet friendly! There is patio seating, too... for warmer days. Don't forget the charming shop where you can purchase all kinds of cool things!!!! We are in love and will definitely be regulars! This was such a great find! We stopped by here after not finding quick service at other restaurants on a Saturday morning. It has high Google reviews and prior guests left delicious looking photos. Spruced Goose has lots of food options, a quaint and eclectic historical vibe with seating inside, outside and extra in the back, plus awesome service with a smile. We were able to customize our breakfast plates to be meat-free, yet still tasty, even their fresh fruit!!! They have local artisan items for sale which is perfect for out of town guests to take a piece of NC back home with them. And it's for a good cause! Holy Angels mission is making a difference in the lives of their employees and customers that receive their services. I would definitely come again when the weather is a bit warmer, so we can sit outside. Such a great addition to the Greater Charlotte region!
