(from Google)Really nice once you're out in the wetlands. Most of the trail in town is covered in trash and frequently has open drug use.
This is my favorite trail to ride my recumbent trike on. The path is wide and well-maintained with many beautiful views! As I go west from the 18th Ave overpass on it, it's great to have tunnels under the busy streets and visible cross-walks in the few places without tunnels. It's also relatively flat. So grateful that we have this trail here!
It's a very peaceful place to just feel the wind
Normally, this is a great bike path, but the homeless problems currently happening alongside it and on it, along with bike thieves and graffiti artists make it unsanitary and not safe feeling, especially for families with children. Make sure not to go west of Oak Patch. It's become a sad place.
Its title is Fern Ridge Bike Trail .It follows along Amazon Creek .Miles of a long stretch of concrete curving and meandering traversing a unique part of Eugene. Most of what I've seen has lights above the Amazon creek has water flowing thru often Blue Heron, wild ducks,Nutria squirrels and butterflies dragonflies and very large carp. There are areas along the bike path or jogging path. Its common to see joggers and bicyclists along the route.Bring your own drinking containers there are no water faucets some trash receptacles and benches .
