(from Google)Enter from Adobe Falls, there is free parking along the road. It's an easy walk, the terrain can become muddy or quite rocky in places, if you wear light hiking boots you'll be fine (and it will protect your ankles). You can do the whole trail back and forth in 1h without rushing. If you enter from the north don't follow the sign for the trail, it's misleading. Head south and you will find the path easily.
Enjoyed hiking through the area. Some areas where there were some shallow water, was able to avoid getting wet by carefully stepping on stones and picking the right path. Took the trolley to SDSU to walk to the trailhead although there are some buses that take you relatively close to the trailhead.
Nice little urban hike. Rocky terrain. Little shade so not a good idea if it’s hot out.
We entered here from the most southern point. There's no parking lot as of today, don't trust older satellite views. You can park on the street and enter by the gate. It's a rocky dirt road with lots of pebbles. Walking path criss crosses with riverbed that has bigger rocks, which makes walking not pleasant. As you go north dirt road becomes more clear with less rocks. Steep uphill as you approach to the Northern end. Points for being secluded and chirping birds. Warning sign mentions rattle snakes and poison ivy none of which we encountered. Without the river bed this would have been a better trail. This was summer time.
The birds chirping and the sound of the water flow with a nice easy trail ❤️
