Cool atmosphere, good beer, i like the outside seating. i came to kill some time with a beer and overall it was a good experience. Only knock 1 star off because the bartender seemed a little dismissive/not very nice. There were only like 4 other people in the bar (it was around 2:30-ish) and he barely looked at me when i walked in and then during our interaction/transaction he just didn't seem that friendly. Might've been having a bad day though who knows, seemed like a good place to hang out overall.

Continues to be one of my favorite breweries in SD with the most personality. It co tiniest to get better each visit with a full bar, Hawaiian and brat/hotdog menu, and the funky art, fluorescent room, fun lights, rock music, and of course th e beers, seltzers, and slushies

Definitely an interesting brewery. The location is a bit odd, as it’s right on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. across from Zion Market—it’s hard to miss all the multicolored Christmas lights strung up outside. They serve some very uniquely flavored beers, so be prepared for a bit of an adventure when you come here. They’ve also got some “brain-freeze shooters” made from alcoholic slushee flavors—they will definitely give you a brain freeze if you drink them too quickly. Come to Kilowatt if you’re looking for something out of the ordinary and want to take a unique beer adventure. It’s not my favorite of all time, but it holds its own among the Kearny Mesa heavyweights.

Kilowatt is great. It's been around a long time, and it's always been an enjoyable brewery to visit. They offer a wide variety of styles of beer. The ambiance is really fun. The staff has always been helpful and nice. There is lots of parking behind the building and some parking on the street in front. They offer small bites that you can enjoy with your beer. The tasting room is suitable for all sizes of parties, and they are open late compared to other breweries in the area. There is a speak easy attached that is pretty fun to visit when there is room. They just opened up a new room attached to the brewery. This brewery never misses a chance to be festive for any reason. Beer slushies are almost always on tap as well.

Awesome beer, a bit difficult to find, small location. My wife and I were off put by a brewery down the street and ended up coming here instead. We are so glad we did! We ordered two flights and sampled a bunch of beers. Every one was super tasty and very good. They just had a small number of salty snacks (bags of chips, etc) but the focus there was their tasty beers. Definitely try their dark beers, I personally really took to their Chocolate Macadamia Stout. Their Coconut IPA was also really delicious. The bartender was very attentive and helpful with us first-timers with what to try. The decor was also really fun, they looked to have games and everything was acrylic and colorful.
