(from Google)The arch is amazing and has stunning views, incredible for such a short hike. Lots of uphill but the trail is good and doesn’t take too long.
Normally hikes labeled difficult I would consider moderate, this one was definitely difficult. If you like the stair master, this is for you. Wasn't very busy, only passed people but never felt crowded on a Friday afternoon/evening. Parking is free unless it's a weekend. The trail is a lot longer than the 3 miles it says if you start at the park rather than the official trailhead. Took about 3 hours
Beautiful hike. I preferred this to the flatirons. The arch at the end is gorgeous and the view over Boulder are pristine. Get up early and enjoy this before it gets too hot. Lots of stairs. I parked at enchanted Mesa trailhead.
Went on Easter so was not crowded in the morning but did pick up closer to the bottom. Was Ivey since snowed two days prior so should have brought spikes but we all made it down safely. Great for dog..at the top I would say better when not crowded with dogs. She was completely fine but a bit nervous for the picture on the rock at the very top. Otherwise, beautiful, great hike!!!
A great moderate to difficult hike! The views of Boulder and the Flatirons are great! Some might recommend spikes as a few parts can be a bit icy in the late fall/winter, but we saw plenty of people (including ourselves) manage without them as it wasn’t TOO bad just yet. We saw plenty of dogs! If you’re parking on a weekend, show up early! Took us a few hours, but well worth the views and the journey! Bring some snacks and plenty of water!
