(from Google)Walked in today without a reservation and were seated quickly thanks to the manager, Emily, who kindly squeezed us in. She was extremely helpful and provided excellent customer service from the start. Our server, Jessica, was also fantastic and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Since it’s a bar on the beach, we came in with modest expectations, assuming it might just be typical bar food—but this place completely exceeded them. The food was amazing, and the drinks were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning and bringing family and friends for years to come. Thank you for such a great experience!
I love waterfront anything! This place just feels amazing. I didn’t have to wait to be seated, the patio vibe is situated right right to enjoy watching the boats come in and out the pier, as well as watching sunset. Definitely recommend
Hula Bay is one of my favorite waterfront restaurants in Tampa. The views of the bay are beautiful, especially at sunset, and the atmosphere is relaxed yet lively. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, with great seafood options and well-crafted cocktails. The service is friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. It’s a perfect spot for a casual lunch, a date night, or drinks with friends by the water. Highly recommend!
The server Christine was amazing and did a good job at providing the best service possible but the food just wasn’t there. Sushi wasn’t fresh and authentic. It was dry and not juicy even with a touch of soy sauce. The noodle bowl was very tangy and overflowing with orange flavored sauce. The chicken was raw and the noodles came out cold the first time so we had to send it back. The manager did a good job of remedying the situation by giving us 50% off the noodles and re-cooking it but the quality of the food just wasn’t there for a bowl of noodles above $22. The view was nice and the vibes were good but don’t come here for the food
The ladies and I ventured out once again to a place we’d never been, and it did not disappoint! It was a beautiful evening by the water—great company, dolphins making a few surprise appearances, a stunning sunset, and delicious food. Every dish we ordered was absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection. I have a shellfish allergy and was a bit nervous at first, but there was no need to worry. While there weren’t many options without shrimp as the main ingredient, what was available was sooo good! The crab cake and the coconut rice were the stars of the show, with the fried rice coming in a very close second. Our server was pleasant. Overall, it was a great experience and we’ll definitely be back! Note: The only downside was the parking situation—it’s probably best to valet to minimize the risk of being towed.
