(from Google)Great trail. Safe. Like that the trail has bridges that go over busy streets. Quite busy each time we were in it.
It’s the place to be when you need to ride safe and be away from traffic- the crossings in Clearwater are dangerous but clearly marked- A special shout out to the trail rangers and volunteers! THANK YOU for doing all that you do!
The Pinellas trail is a 30 plus miles of repurposed railroad thoroughfares. Some locations of the trail have interesting stops. There are scattered parks and locations along the way that have restroom amenities. But there are some locations that feel a little sketchy but not to the extent where I have ever felt unsafe.
The Trail is Pinellas"s premier multi-purpose recreational trail. Picture is of the bridge over West Bay Drive. The trail was built at a time when Pinellas County was more wealthy. Now the Parks Department struggles to maintain the trail and the bridge.
Great place to walk, ride or run. Put your earbuds on and before you know it i have walked 3 miles. Also several places to stop and eat along the way. Very clean too.
