(from Google)Very knowledgeable staff! I went in to inquire about a bunny and the lady that helped me was able to answer all my questions. She showed me where rabbit supplies are around the store and what I would need. The store is always clean and well stocked. I would highly recommend checking Pet Supermarket for any pet supply needs. Or if you're considering purchasing a small pet, bird, or some fish!
Not been in this place but a few times but it's pretty cool because for one I have a self serve animal shower. Also I found stuff for my snake because it's hard to find good worms for my snake to eat. Also they have a lot to choose from for all animals like cats and whole section dogs a whole section fish and reptile the whole section plus they have a clearance section.
First and foremost the animal habitats were very dirty and disgusting. For the pricing to be as high as it was I would expect the case to be clean from feces that was taking up majority of the enclosures. Second I went in for crickets and saw the promotions for seasonal dog toys. I grabbed a few and went to the register. My items rang up and the cashier asked for my phone number. I did not have a membership at the time she stated and then told me my total. I unknowingly paid and went to my car. I realized the total didn't match the discounts I saw and looked at my receipt. No discounts applied. I went back into the store to ask if they were forgotten. Only after I went back did the cashier tell me that only discounts applied to members and that I could sign up. So I asked for a full refund and to be entered into the system to receive my discount. What should've been a easy task took longer than 10 minutes, she could not refund my card and only could give me a gift card. (WHICH FORCES ME TO SPEND THE REFUNED AMOUNT AT THAT STORE) and also stopped helping me during this to help another customer. Horrible store
I normally don’t write Google reviews, but I felt I had to share this experience because it was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I’ve visited several Pet Supermarket locations, including the one on Pelham, and I’ve always been treated with kindness and respect. This location, however, was completely different. I went in with the intention of buying multiple fish. Since I’m familiar with the store layout, I checked the size labels on the tanks. On one of them, the price sticker was covering the size information, so I slightly lifted it to see it. Out of nowhere, one of the employees approached me in a very rude and confrontational tone and said, “What are you doing, bro?” I was shocked by the disrespect and asked, “Excuse me?” I calmly explained that I was just checking the fish size, but instead of apologizing or offering help, he just walked away with an attitude, To make things worse, he sent another employee to help us someone who clearly had no idea how to handle fish or provide assistance. The whole interaction was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. It ruined the entire experience, and I can confidently say I will never return to this location again. This behavior damages the company’s image and quality of service. Management really needs to address this kind of customer service.
I went to use the dog wash and was a bit disappointed with the set up. I have used the dog wash at another pet supermarket and it was very different than this one (as in private room with grooming table, ramped tub and controlled dryer) This one was not in its own room and was a shared open space where two other dogs and owners could use at the same time. And inconveniently next to the kittens up for adoption. Thankfully my dog did not take notice of them. The dog tubs were nice in the sense that they were tile but could be challenging for some dogs to actually get in, there is not door our ramp. Also there is technically no grooming allowed although I did not realize this until after I had brushed my dog before her bath. The dryer only had one speed. The main thing for me was just that it was out in the open where people could come watch and ask to pet my dog while I was trying to dry her. So if you don't mind those things it's a decent place to wash your dog. Bonus the employees were super friendly! I most likely won't bring my dog back here again.
